Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 6, 2026

The short version: your data lives only on your phone. No accounts, no ads, no analytics. We don't collect or sell any personal information. Photo recognition runs on-device by default; Cloud Recognition is optional and off by default — below we spell out exactly what it sends when enabled.

What we don't do

Data that stays on your phone

Everything you record in Spoolery — spools, photos and stickers of your makes, grams, prices, notes — is stored in a local database on your device. We run no servers that hold this data and cannot access it. Deleting the app deletes all of it, so please keep that in mind.

How photos are processed

By default, label scanning, sticker cutouts, and name suggestions all run on your device using Apple's Vision / VisionKit frameworks. Photos never leave your phone.

Optional Cloud Recognition

You can enable Cloud Recognition in the side menu for better accuracy. It is off by default. When enabled:

Purchases

The full-version unlock and tips are handled entirely by Apple's In-App Purchase system. We never see or store any payment information.

Children's privacy

Spoolery is not designed for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children — in fact, it doesn't collect personal information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy materially changes, we'll update this page and the effective date. Significant changes will be noted in the app.
